Privacy Policy

TuiML is an open-source project. Your data stays on your machine.

Last updated: 2026

Summary

TuiML is a free, open-source machine learning library distributed under the BSD-3-Clause license. The library runs entirely on your own machine. It does not phone home, collect telemetry, or transmit your data, models, or parameters anywhere. This policy describes what happens when you use the library itself and when you visit tuiml.ai.

The TuiML library

[+]No telemetry: the library does not send usage data, crash reports, or analytics.
[+]No network calls are made by the library during training, prediction, or serving.
[+]Your data stays local: datasets, trained models, and uploads are stored under ~/.tuiml/ on your own machine.
[+]MCP integrations (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and the rest) run locally over stdio. Your agent vendor's own privacy policy governs what the agent sends to their servers.

The tuiml.ai website

The website hosts documentation, benchmarks, and the install script. It is a static site with no accounts and no user-generated content.

[+]Server logs: our host records standard request metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, URL) for security and debugging. Logs are rotated, and are not sold or shared.
[+]Cloudflare: traffic is proxied through Cloudflare for caching and DDoS protection, subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
[+]Third-party assets: we load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from cdnjs. Those CDNs see your IP when the assets load.
[+]Cookies: we do not set tracking cookies. We do not run analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting scripts.
[+]GitHub: links to GitHub (source, issues, discussions) are governed by GitHub's privacy statement.

Contributions and issues

When you open an issue, pull request, or discussion on GitHub, the content and your GitHub identity are public and indexed by search engines. Avoid pasting secrets, API keys, or private datasets into issues.

Children's privacy

TuiML is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. Material changes will be noted in the site changelog and in the commit history of the GitHub repository.
