Terms of Service

Using TuiML, the website, and contributing to the project.

Last updated: 2026

1. The software license governs the library

The TuiML library is open-source software distributed under the BSD-3-Clause license. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and redistribute the code are defined by that license, not by this page. In case of any conflict, the license file in the repository prevails.

2. No warranty

TuiML is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk. The authors and contributors are not liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from use of the software.

3. Acceptable use

When using the tuiml.ai website, you agree not to:

[-]Attempt to disrupt, overload, or probe the service for vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure.
[-]Scrape the site in ways that violate robots.txt or our reasonable rate limits.
[-]Use the site to distribute malware, phishing content, or illegal material.
[-]Misrepresent TuiML outputs as produced or endorsed by the project maintainers when they are not.

4. Your responsibility for ML outputs

Machine learning models can produce incorrect, biased, or unsafe outputs. You are responsible for validating results, following applicable laws and regulations (including privacy and anti-discrimination laws), and for the datasets you feed into the library. TuiML is a tool, you are the operator.

5. Contributions

Contributions submitted via pull request, issue, or discussion are licensed under the same BSD-3-Clause license as the project. By submitting, you confirm you have the right to license the contribution. See the contributing guide for details.

6. Trademarks

"TuiML" and the TuiML logo are project marks of the TuiML maintainers and the AI Institute, University of Waikato. You may use the name and logo to refer to the project, link to it, or indicate compatibility. You may not use them to imply endorsement of your own products or forks.

7. Third-party services

TuiML integrates with third-party AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others) via the Model Context Protocol. Those services are governed by their own terms. TuiML maintainers are not responsible for the behavior or availability of third-party services.

8. Changes

These terms may change as the project evolves. Continued use of the website after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
